Maureen returns to CYFM from her home town of St. Louis, Missouri, where she grew up, attended Fontbonne University, and worked as a full-time youth minister at her home parish during the 2006-2007 school year. In college, Maureen studied elementary education and English and dreamed of inspiring her students with her love of grammar and young adult literature, but before beginning her classroom career, she decided to volunteer for a year with Boys Hope Girls Hope St. Louis in order to gain some more direct experience in working with youth. This experience left Maureen with a desire to continue volunteering and to gain more experience in youth ministry, so she became a Cap Corps Volunteer during 2005-2006. It was such an amazing experience that Maureen has decided to return to CYFM as a second year CCV, after gaining some more experience in parish youth ministry at her home parish while spending some time closer to her family. Maureen is extremely excited to return to CYFM, the Red House, the Hudson Valley, and all of the amazing families that make up the CYFM community, and she is very thankful for the opportunity to get more involved in some different aspects of the ministry.
